Hello all, I have been brainstorming features that may be good for future releases of Paypal Affiliates. Here is a list:

  • Add Option to use username instead of user id for affiliate links
  • Add Balance to Affiliate History Items
  • Add Email to Affiliate for New Referral
  • Charts for Best Selling Affiliates, Total earned per month, etc.
  • Configure the Default Affiliate Link shown in User Account
  • Page for Affiliate Banners/Images
  • Use Masspay API for Mass Payments and Automated Payments
  • Configure commissions/levels on a per-subscription/per-nodeplan basis
  • Configure commissions/levels on a per-role basis
  • Track Clicks on Affiliate Links
  • Pay-Per-Sale (Flat Rate Payout)
  • Pay-Per-Click (Unique Visitors Only)
  • Pay-Per-Lead
  • Option for Affiliates to Earn UserPoints instead of money??
  • Text links / Banner links
  • Conversion ratios (Clicks/Registrations)
  • Auto e-mail periodic reports

What do you guys think? Which ones would you like to see implemented? Do you have any other features you would like to see implemented? Let me know!

Sincerely,

Leighton

Big Vote UserPoints instead of money

We would like to allow existing subscribers to refer friends for discounts towards there next subscription renewal.

Seems like it would be a popular feature for subscriptiuon based sites like ours and might help you cross promote your affiliates and subscription modules.

Publisher23, It is a good

Publisher23,

It is a good idea, but if you are using Recurring Payments, the funds are drawn from the user's account automatically by the Payment Gateway (PayPal, Authorize.net, etc). So there wouldn't really be a way to give the discounts to them. One thing you can do though is pay the money to their account, which can then be used towards the subscription cost of their membership.

Sincerely,
Leighton Whiting
