Integration with aweber that use name+email from the account creation to signup for a list in aweber (subscriber would still need to confirm the double-optin if that option is used).

Listbuilding is often overlooked as the great asset it is for any online marketer. Making it integrated not only saves time, it actually let people that never get around to creating signup forms and adding them to their site happy as it all works by script magic!

And there's the matter of people not signing up in many cases if they have to fill out more forms. Re-using signup for the membership to subscribe them saves them typing as well.

Kenth, I like the idea, but I

Kenth,
I like the idea, but I don't think it relates directly with Paypal Subscriptions, and Drupal has always favored a modular approach to things, so this would be better as a stand alone module. There is a module here for Drupal 5.x: http://drupal.org/project/aweber . It wouldn't take much for someone to convert it to 6.x, and according to their Issue Queue some have already done it in the HEAD version. What do you think? Would packaging something like that with Paypal Subscriptions be beneficial or wanted by members? Thoughts?

Sincerely,
Leighton

I really think so

Hi,

You're right Leighton. If it could be done with a module even better.

I actually found that one to but saw that it was a bit old. I'm really surprised that there were no other modules for this.

I personally think it would be of great interest.

WHen seling stuff like ebooks, software or even subscriptions one always want to add people to an autoresponder like aweber for many reasons.

Welcoming them, send start up info, courses, information about other products, special offers and much more.

Using an autoresponder to automatically send out a number of emails after signup makes life so much easier. And one can do mailings to the list as well.

Integrating paypal subscriptions with a signup to aweber (and possibly in the future, getresponse.com and some other big mailinglist handling services/scripts) would bring your paypal module from being a paypal subscription product into the land of paypal subscription + CMS (Customer Management System).

Take a look at infusionsoft.com and you'll see how they present it. They of course have a lot of other stuff going on but they are really big in the market.
