I haven't bought the product yet... just about to. But I thought I'd get this to you asap to see how possible it is.

It's be amazing if there was a feature that would time-released content to certain member types. For example,

User  X  signs up on Sept 2nd and receives Post 1, which is set up to release on day 0. Two days later, on Sept 4th, X receives access to Post 2, which is set up to release on day 2. On that same day, Sept 4th, User Y signs up and receives Post 1 and can't see Post 2 or beyond under their membership yet.

Forgive me if your product already does this, haha. But I didn't see it in the description.

In addition, it would be awesome if there was an option to send out an email to the user when each new piece of content was available.

Might that be possible?

I appreciate your upgrades!

Joshua, Right now, that is

Joshua,
Right now, that is not a feature of Paypal Subscriptions. Paypal Subscriptions is intended to be a full stop solution for managing site memberships and roles. I have had a few other people request what you are outlining here, and I agree that it would be a great feature. I'll do some brainstorming and see what I can come up with. I would love to include this kind of functionality in Paypal Subsriptions in the future.

Sincerely,
Leighton Whiting

Rules

You should be able to accomplish a "content drip" functionality using the Rules module. That module would also cover you in the "new content notification" department.

This should get you started:

I remember seeing a video tutorial on this one too, but I can't find it now.

Just wanted to follow up on

Just wanted to follow up on this. I've started development of a new module called 'MS Content Drip' which will allow you to create new 'Content Drip' nodes that can have any CCK fields attached to them (they are regular Drupal nodes). These nodes can then be added to 'Sets', and given a day for when they should be made available to the users.
For example, you can make 5 new 'Content Drip' nodes and then add them to a 'Set', and mark the first node to be available to the user on day 0 (immediately), then have the second node available to the user on day 4, and so on and so forth. Users won't be able to access the content unless they are past the day that the content should be available.
This module will integrate with Membership Suite (and the other modules eventually) so that you can specify one or more 'Sets' that will be added to a user when he/she subscribes. When a node in the 'Set' becomes available to a user, an email will be sent to the user (customizable by you) that informs the user of the new content that is available, and provides a link to the content.

Any comments on this functionality and additional ideas/thoughts would be welcome here.

Sincerely,
Leighton Whiting
