Request for another payment gateway.

Leighton, I love your products and have bought them all. Really appreciate your hard work and the cleanness and efficiency of your code.

Would you be able to make another payment gateway for First Data, also known as Linkpoint. There is one for Ubercart: http://drupal.org/project/uc_linkpoint_api

I have a discount program which allows me to get tremendous savings in processing fees through First Data. Saves me a ton of money compared to authorize.net (which is so expensive to use). So I also want to be able to transfer all my customers to First Data.

If there are more people interested in this module, please post here. I haven't really heard much about this gateway, so it doesn't seem to be a very popular one. I have developed all of the major gateways (Authorize.net, PayPal, AlertPay, etc).

I have lots of feature requests in my queue, so unless there are more people who are interested in this or someone is willing to sponsor the gateway, this will have to wait. Sorry about that :(

What would a sponsorship cost? There are such savings on this gateway that it would become popular if available.

First Data is actually one of the backbone cc processors, often operating in the background of other systems. They have some great affiliate opportunities, and we know how Drupal folks like to have multiple streams of income!

Anyway, I'd sponsor if it is within my reach.

I am also using FirstData/LinkPoint, but I thought you DID support it. In the FAQ under the supported gateways you have "CRE Secure (including Chase PaymentTech, USA ePay, FirstData, SkipJack, eProcessingNetwork and PayLeap)"

I'm not sure with CRE is and what (including Chase PaymentTech, USA ePay, FirstData, SkipJack, eProcessingNetwork and PayLeap) means.

We currently have a direct gateway to LinkPoint - would the CRE gateway work for us?

Sorry for the delay in my response, I've been traveling (still am) and haven't had access to internet until now.

Yes, the CRE Secure module does support First Data, but it probably won't support Recurring Payments since I believe this is only supported by them for Authorize.net right now... It would be something to ask them.

CRE Secure is simply a gateway for other gateways, which uses SSL and adds another layer of security, making it easier to meet the PCI Requirements.
