Hi everyone,

I am searching for a (RECURRING payment) gateway which works like authorize.net – a simple one-click form on our own website where the customer just needs to add his country and can start his membership without being redirected to a payment provider. Like this: https://pro.gigaom.com/?force_ssl=1&coupon#signup-form.

Authorize.net is not supported in Europe/Germany, as you need a US bank account and only have US dollars available. I did some research, and that's the list I came up with. Unfortunately, all the possible options require a redirection to an external payment page.

Authorize.net - Not possible in Europe (US bank acocunt needed)
Ogone - No full features for recurring payments
Paypal Web Payments Pro / Flow - Only supported in US, Canada and UK
Worldpay - Module not functional for recurring payments in Moneyscripts
Clickbank - Possible, but different payment approach (marketplace)
Quickpay - Looking ok, but there’s no information about this company (is it reliable?)
Alertpay - Works, but creates an account for every user (like paypal)
Paypal Web Payments Standard - Works, but the user needs to open an account for recurring payment

Do you have an idea for this? I am really curious why the European market does not have a simple payment solution available. Or is it just that I don't find them?

Hope someone can help me..

Best,
Arndt

I too have found a lack of good payment gateways with support for Europe. I haven't tried it myself, but you could try using CRE Secure. They say they have support for the iDeal payment gateway, which I believe is a European processor. Not sure if iDeal supports Recurring payments through CRE Secure though. Last I heard they only supported Authorize.net for Recurring Payments.

PayPal WPP Direct Checkout may also be a good option for you. Users can pay on your site using a credit card. Multiple currencies are supported, including most EU currencies.

Hope that helps!

As a side note, AlertPay (I think) and PayPal WPS both allow the user to checkout using just a credit card and no account, but it isn't presented to the user by default, and the payment form is still on their site.

Sincerely,

thanks for your

thanks for your tips!

however, Paypal WPP (professional) is not available for Germany. Also, I implemented Alertpay and they automatically generate a user account for everyone who pays with credit card. It's like paypal, but they just don't really show it - the user just receives an email with the account information.

I gotta check CRE secure and might look for some others. I found www.wirecard.com and www.payone.de suitable for Germany, both big companies, also supporting recurring payment. But it's not supported in Moneyscript or any other open source module. So an implementation could get troublesome..

How about MoneyBookers? They

How about MoneyBookers? They are just changing, from their newsletter:

Moneybookers is becoming Skrill. You can already take a first fresh look at payments on our website. We are now displaying Skrill on the Moneybookers website to give a glimpse of our new look & feel, without disrupting the way you use your account.

Why are we changing?

Because Skrill is built around liberating and simplifying the previously complex process of payments and works better globally. You can find out more about the story of Skrill at our website www.skrill.com.

EDIT:

There seems to be MoneyBookers -module available for Drupal Commerce.

MoneyBookers has quite a lot of possibilities for merchants.

hi, thanks for the info. I

hi,

thanks for the info. I will check it out. Was hoping that I find a good solution (gateway) which is already supported by moneyscripts, haha :)
Currently trying quickpay. Looks ok, but still not so sure if using such a small payment provider is a good idea.

I implemented paypal, alertpay and now quickpay. Will see if they are sufficient. If not then I am thinking about trying Wirecard and Payone, both have German offices (or are German). They unfortunately do not provide any open information about their APIs..
