Well, this is a major release, fixing a lot of bugs and some issues with Subscription Management and Modification, as well as fixing some email bugs. It also provides many new features as you can see below. NOTE: YOU MUST RUN UPDATE.PHP WHEN UPDATING!!!

Addendum: Version 4.10 fixes a bug which was introduced with version 4.9 involving free memberships. It also fixes an issue which was introduced in Drupal 6.14.

New Features:

  • New Feature: Created a new permission 'access paypal pages' to access the paypal backend page if 'access content' is set to off
  • New Feature: Added New $isUpgrade variable for the thank you page template
  • New Feature: Added Function to use the money sign for various currency codes, ie $19.45 instead of 19.45 USD, supporting all currency codes, formats and symbols
  • New Feature: Added an Email Template Field in the Subscription Manager screen for Subscription Cancellation Emails
  • New Feature: Added an Email Template Field in the Subscription Manager screen for Subscription Modification Emails

Bug Fixes:

  • Bug Fix: Fixed Auto Login for Free Subscriptions
  • Bug Fix: Fixed the Thank-You page for users who are already logged in when auto-login is set
  • Bug Fix: Fixed Ordering of Subscriptions in the Upgrade Membership area
  • Bug Fix: Fixed a Bug where the Subscription Modification Email wasn't being sent
  • Bug Fix: Fixed Display of Current Subscriptions

Changes:

  • Change: Included the Currency Code in the [amount] variable for emails
  • Change: Changed some of the wording in the Subscription Manager to be more helpful
  • Change: Changed the Naming of the Email Template Fields to avoid confusion and be more intuitive
  • Change: Added a new DB Field to store the subscr_id to better track subscription modifications
  • Change: Modified many aspects of the subscription process for upgrading subscriptions
  • Change: Added a 'Requirements' section to the README.txt file
