The new version is out, and it offers some great new functionality. You can now manually add, edit or delete memberships with a new Membership manager. This means that you can have more control over when memberships expire, and add expirable memberships to any user. This allows you to accept other forms of payment such as checks, money orders, etc, and just manually add the membership, set an expiration date, and forget about it. It will automatically expire when it should and the membership emails and user account things will all be shown to the user.

I also changed a lot of the schema and function names so that they are more descriptive and intuitive. One thing that you will need to do is update your email templates because the [subscriptionName] token has been changed to [membershipName]. Also, the permissions have changed, so check them as well.

Don't forget to run update.php when you update!
