What am I doing wrong?

Hi again,

I've installed the module, entered the activation keys and my domain shows up in the My Account -> My Software tab, however I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it all working.

I've created a couple of Pay to Publish plans and attached them to the new content type I've created, but there appears to have been no change to the Create Node screen or node creation process whatsoever. There's no indication on the Create Content page that PayPal plans are available and my users are able to just click Save when they're done - no message, no redirection to PayPal, nothing.

This is how I assumed/hoped it all worked, but perhaps I'm doing something wrong:

- User goes to create a node.
- User fills in Title and Body as per usual.
- There is section at the bottom of the create node page showing the PayPal plans available and indicating that they will be transferred to PayPal once they're done.
- User can Preview their new content, but once they click the Save/Publish button they're transferred to PayPal.

Could it be something to do with my site setup / other modules I have installed, or am I going about everything the wrong way?

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

OK, I worked out that it

OK, I worked out that it wasn't working because I hadn't set the 'renew own pay to publish...' permission. I've managed to get it all linked up to Pay to Publish + PayPal etc., however I have a couple more issues, mostly to do with the way the process 'flows' (or doesn't flow):

1. Is there a way to automatically make it go to the Publish Content screen after clicking Save, rather than that Status screen with the little "This content will expire in 0 days. To add days, please click here: Add Days" message.

2. Is there a way to make the Payment selection options part of the actual Create Content page/form, rather than a separate screen?

3. How do I change the wording? All of my plans will have an unlimited number of days, and I'd like to have my own message instead of it saying "0 days" everywhere.

Thanks again.

2d, I think one problem may

2d,
I think one problem may be that you aren't setting the workflow of the content-type to not publish by default. The content shouldn't be published when the users click save. Then once they click save, there is a message informing them that the content is not yet published, and to publish it they click the link to choose the publish plan.

The module was made with expiring nodes in mind, so I'm not sure what would be the best way to publish nodes that never expire. Maybe you could have a plan that would publish the node for 99 years or something.

The 0 days text shouldn't appear if the content is not published by default.

I like your idea of having the plans on the Create Content form. I will look into ways to add that as well as add the publish forever functionality.

I'm having the same issue

I'm having the same issue with nodes that shouldn't be expiring saying they will expire in "0 days". From the admin screen when demo-ing and then configuring the module after purchase, I was under the impression that entering "0" would mean "no expiry." Yet, it's showing up as if there is an "expiry" in... 0 days. How can I remove this?

In addition, the user is being asked "Add Days" -- would need to remove this too.

Thanks for your help.

[UPDATE:] Also... Under "Your Content," nodes are being shown as "Expired" with a "Publish" link next to them, though they are already published.

[UPDATE 2:] I just had the content created that was set to expire in 0 days... actually expire. So it seems this is not just a wording issue. A bug that content can't be set to not expire?

With the new release, these

With the new release, these issues have been addressed:

Users can now choose their payment plan right on the node creation page, and after clicking Save, it will go straight to PayPal for them to pay.

3. How do I change the wording? All of my plans will have an unlimited number of days, and I'd like to have my own message instead of it saying "0 days" everywhere.

The "0 Days" wording has been removed for non-expiring content.

Leighton

Leighton, Thanks for the

Leighton, Thanks for the quick update to this module. There are still a few kinks (which I can mention in separate posts), but these latest updates have definitely provided some valuable improvements and I'm confident you'll continue to improve the product in the coming days and weeks and months.
