Hi Leighton,

I migrated the LM PayPal database yesterday, all went fine, but a couple of things have happened since then:

  1. An LM paypal user cancelled their membership last night:
    1. My admin email didn't receive the cancellation email as set under the Membership Suite Settings. I also don't think the user got the cancellation email, since its not in the log (I remember in a previous post you said all emails are logged as well).
    2. When I look at the membership status of the cancelled user, it still shows "active". Shouldn't it show "cancelled", and then change to "expired" at EOT?
    3. Report/Recurring Payments Statistics does not show the cancellation with a red bar.
  2. Payments started recurring today, the log shows that the LM PayPal IPN was received, but have a couple of requests:
    1. Since the paypal email address of a lot of users does not match the ones they are registered on my site with, I cant find their actual user account thus have no way of knowing whether their membership is still in order or not. The log only shows the incoming IPN, but it would be great if it also showed the user name, or some way to identify the actual user account.
    2. I think in a previous version of MS membership, there was a transaction history tab, which showed the history of payments. Making this available again would solve the above IPN issue, since I think it showed the username as well.
  3. I found the username of one of the users who recurred today, but found a couple of irregularities:
    1. Under their "Order history" tab, I don't see todays recurred payment.
    2. What I do see is a payment of $0 dollars (should be $9) set at the users membership starting date. And when I click to view the details of the payment, the details show that it was a $9 payment.

Thanks in advance for your reply,
Tom

Tom, 1. It looks like there

Tom,

1. It looks like there was a problem with receiving the IPN or acting correctly on the IPN. Are there any logs for when the user cancelled the subscription? If so, can you email them to me?

Sincerely,
Leighton Whiting

Tom, 2. The transactions are

Tom,

2. The transactions are stored a bit differently in the new MS Core setup, so it is a bit more difficult to show a listing of the latest IPNs. Also, IPNs don't always have a user associated with them (for example, MS Core waits until a successful payment is received before creating a user account to prevent ghost accounts). However, when the payment is acted upon, I can add a log entry that will show the details of the order, payment, and user account.

3. This is strange... could you send me a screenshot so I can get a visual of this?

Sincerely,
Leighton Whiting

The only log that was there

The only log that was there was that the LM Paypal IPN was intercepted, and under its details, it just showed the IPN details.

Concerning issue 1 again,

Concerning issue 1 again, will the module revoke the cancelled users role at EOT, or should I watch for it?
