Email notification shows $0.00 for a paid subscription and unclear about Show current Membership in User Account setting

Great family of modules! Works for me, out of the box. I have two questions:
- Why does my $0.75 test subscription show 0.00 in user account as well as confirmation emails? (note: paypal checkout did charge the 0.75 appropriately)
- What does "Show Current Memberships in User Account?" in Membership Suite Settings mean? I would think it turns on and off the membership payment info in the user account, but (see screenshots), it doesn't appear to have an effect on that.

Bronius, The $0 amount is

Bronius,
The $0 amount is caused by the way that PayPal IPN sends the messages for recurring subscriptions. Sometimes it sends the Payment notification (which has the amount paid) before it sends the signup notification (which is marked as $0). I will get this fixed in the next release so that it will ignore the $0 payment notice and look for alternatives if it is the most recent one.

Forgot to mention about the

Forgot to mention about the other thing. The 'Show Current Memberships in User Account?' setting in the Membership Suite settings controls whether or not users can see their current memberships in the user account, like your second screenshot shows.

The first screenshot though is a different setting, one found in the individual Membership Plans. The 'Show in User Account' setting sets whether users will be shown a box in their User Account which allows them to purchase the membership plan.

0.00 no longer shows on user screen but still shows in emails

Leighton-
I guess I didn't look close enough earlier: Yes, the user account screen listing memberships does show my recurring membership price paid, however, the email notifications of subscription purchase (to admin and to user) still shows "0.00."

Within the body of the emails, I'm doing something like:

  1. ...
  2. Amount: [paymentAmount]
  3. ...

I am currently on 6.x-6.8

Do you need more info from me?

My Software doesn't show latest releases?

Thanks. I set out to try just now, but instead of seeing 6.x-6.9, I still see 6.x-6.8 in my My Software tab on my account on your site (see attached).

Note: 5.x-5.10 exists. Also, a wget on 6.x-6.10 seemed to work ok, but .info within still lists 6.x-6.8..

6.9 isn't quite ready yet,

6.9 isn't quite ready yet, still doing some testing and tweaking. If you would like to help me beta test it, let me know and I'll send you a copy now.

Hey thanks for the explanation-- it wasn't clear to me that the fix in 6.9 wasn't yet released.

And thanks for the beta test invitation. I wish I could spend time on beta testing but I can't at the time. I'll keep my eyes open for the 6.9 stable release under My Software tab.
