Free content problem

First I want to say this is a great module, but I have a slight problem, I have paid nodes working great.

I created a content type to be published for free.

I have checked in permissions, publish for free.
I have checked no admin approval required.

The content remains unpublished, and on the users control panel, there is an option to publish the content. But this on clicking this it just goes to a blank screen.

I tried to do it originally with admin approval, thought that may be the problem.

So either way its not working.

Any suggestions as to where I may adjust some settings or alter PHP?

I could just create a content type for an authenticated user, but I´d like to make sure that the user is reminded to re publish content, so that no old stuff is lurking on the site forever.

Any help is appreciated.

The publish for free

The publish for free permission simply means that the user can publish the content without choosing any plans, and it is meant for admin users, so the content will be published with no expiration date. What you should do is make a plan that costs $0, and put that plan on the content you want to be published for free. This will give the content an expiration date.

Publish for free

I'm having a similar issue. I have the proper permissions set for a certain role to be able to post ad nodes. One of my plans is set to $0 (free) and my content is not being published when I submit the node. Then when I click to "publish" that node it takes me to a blank screen.

When I view the admin approval queue there is nothing pending.

I also have a plan that is $60 for 1 month. I'm using paypal with my sandbox account. I completed the process of purchasing the node and I get the same result. The node is not published and has the option again for me to publish.

please help. I'm using version 6.x-4.2

no luck

yeah, I've tried everything I can think of that could be causing the nodes not to be published. But no luck, the nodes do not publish, and the free plan results in a blank screen.

Can you email support

Can you email support (support@moneyscripts.net) with the url and admin login information of your site so I can take a look at the configurations and get to the bottom of this quickly?

Hi Leighton, Don´t think I

Hi Leighton,

Don´t think I explained myself properly before, my problems are exactly the same as those other guys above. I set a plan to 0€, I select that from the list, and its unpublished, (even though permissions are set to published), then when I click to publish I get the white screen. I havn´t had much time to look at it again this week, but I think I have the same problem of nodes not being published, even though permissions are set to publish.

Hope I made sense there.

Elaine and others, I figured

Elaine and others,
I figured out what was causing this error, and will be releasing a fixed version today. Look for the Pay to Publish 4.3 version.

Having this problem too, after upgrading

Hi Leighton,

I'm having this problem as well. But, I've already upgraded to the latest version of membership and pay-to-publish. Users whose role SHOULD allow them to publish an event for free are not able to. It results as unpublished. I've emptied cache, rebuilt permissions. Still not working.

Thanks,
Marco
