Basically I want to integrate IDevaffiliate with my custom cart that uses Paypal.
My cart is simple and uses the Paypal cart upload command, see below for details:

IDevAffiliate says I must put this code into all of my Buy Now buttons, see link:
http://www.idevdirect.com/tools_buttons.php
I noticed that setting "notify_url" will tell Paypal to notify IDevAffiliate that a Payment has been made and that setting "custom" to the customer's IP address will allow IDevaffiliate to issue the commission.
Since I do not use the Paypal buttons is it possible add this to the url of my cart upload command?
¬ify_url=http://www.triviaplayingcards.com/idevaffiliate/paypal_ipn_buynow.php&custom=[customer's ip]
Will this work?
Does anyone have any experience with the Paypal Cart Upload Command and IDevAffiliate?

I think you may be posting in the wrong forums, I haven't used iDevAffiliate before so don't know much about how it works. Have you tried asking in the iDevAffiliate Forums?
For your question, it seems like that would work, have you tried it? That is more or less how I do it with my PayPal WPS gateway.
