Using the Drupal 7.7 and latest membership suite, I'm unable to disable the default drupal email for new users

Core settings - send the default drupal account creation email

In Drupal account settings
Vistors can register

And this is unchecked
Require e-mail verification when a visitor creates an account.

Not only is it still sending the email, it sends the wrong one -
Welcome (new user created by administrator)
